Oyster Catcher Pendant

I love, love, love the Wetlands stamp set. Mainly due to this image which is of some wading birds that look like Oyster Catchers to me.  Which reminds me of my favourite place, Anglesey.

For the pendant I coloured the background with Stampin Up inks and an Aqua Blender on watercolour paper and then constructed the pendant. Lovely isn't it and the inks blend so nicely.

I wear this all the time now and have had some lovely compliments.  I've entered it into Michelle Last's creative challenge and you can vote for the entry over on her blog today.

Hope you like it!

HI lovely crafting friend introduced us to this new technique 'emboodling' - doodling with embellishments. How great is that? Bright and fun card totally outside my usual style but I love it!

Teachers Gifts and Cards

Hi again

So it's not been a great two weeks health wise :-( but I've been able to make some teachers gifts and cards from my bed which has helped keep me happy :-).  Crafting is definitely good for the soul...

So my challenge was something not too expensive, that teachers might like and a little bit different.  I have made some boxes for some amazing soaps from the Faith in Nature company.  They are organic and don't contain any nasties which is an essential for my super-sensitive skin, oh and they smell delicious. The coconut soap smells of fresh coconut straight from the palm tree!  You can also get them from Holland and Barret or Amazon for very little money and they are manufactured in a small town near where I grew up which is even better. I love supporting British companies and for a couple of pounds it is a really affordable little gift, especially when you have to produce 10+ gifts for all the teachers, TAs, dinner ladies, lollipop lady etc :-D.  It's all different from when we were kids hey?

The boxes are made on my trusty Stampin' Up Simply Scored board(how could I live without it!), but you could use the Stamin' Trimmer as it scores as well as cuts. Have I ever said how much I love my trimmer? I LOVE it! So much so I've sold one to my sister after raving so much...

Anyway, back to the projects.  I've used up some retired papers and punches as we all do.  But the oval framelets would work just as well.  A happy coincidence was that I lined the sniff-hole (everyone has to smell the soap!) up with the word 'faith' on the soap - and seeing that they are going to a CofE school that was perfect.

The cards are made from the Stampin Up notecards and leftover ovals from the holes and using the bits cut off the boxes.  Cunning hey? And very economical. The dimensions are below if you are interested.  Get in touch if you have any issues re-creating them.

Hope you like them and hope the recipients do too!

Rose Wonder Twisted Easel Card

Hello and sorry for the absence!  But here's a little card to get your creative juices flowing:

I've used the Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder dies to cut out the roses and leaves and they are freestanding abover the twisted easel just using tiny bits of tombow glue.  The card base is cut from a piece of A4 so is 5.5" square. The gorgeous paper is the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper.  Isn't it gorgeous.  I just had to have it seeing that I love pink so much.  Just noticed it is Helen Signatured pink and green again. I can never tire of that combo.

You can see a bit of the 3D nature from the side view. I'm entering this card into a challenge on Michelle Last's blog.  I'd love it if you would go vote for your favourites. If it is mine then even better ;-)

Hope you love it as much as I do. Now who has a birthday coming up?

Tiny treats

One thing I love making are tiny treat packages.  For friends, customers, colleagues, those in need of a little treat.  Here are some of my latest:

These were made out of our Regals Designer Paper Series pads, using the score board and the tiniest bit of glue.  The stamp is from Me=Grateful set. Super easy. If you want the dimensions and score lines then drop me a line.

Then a quick sneak peak of the new Pop of Pink paper stack (what's not to love), the new Melon Mambo bakers twine and again the stamp from same set.

Talking of new things. If you would a one of the new annual catalogues posting for you then just leave me a comment or send me an email and I'll pop one in the post for you :-)

Hope you like my little treats.
